Wright-Way Rescue is pleased to announce its partnership with WPSD Local 6 in its Clear the Shelters adoption event on Saturday, July 23. “Clear the Shelters” is an initiative by NBC-owned stations to help find homes for adoptable dogs and cats at local shelters and rescues.
The one-day adoption event comes at a very important time for Wright-Way Rescue as the organization has many adult canines and felines looking for families. Because of this, Wright-Way Rescue will waive adoption fees for dogs and cats 9 months and older.
Clear the Shelters will take place at Pure Pet at 2355 Sweets Drive in Carbondale. The hours of the event are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 23.
“Thousands of animals come through Wright-Way Rescue’s doors each year hoping to find loving, good homes,” said Christy Anderson, Wright-Way Rescue’s Executive Director and Founder. “Events like Clear the Shelters help us achieve our mission to give second chances to adoptable pets.”
In 2015, the nationwide initiative helped find nearly 20,000 pets homes, when some 400 animal shelters across the country partnered with NBC-owned television stations and the Telemundo station group.
