Pregnant mom, from Corning Arkansas

Our rescue partner in Corning, Arkansas pulled a very pregnant dog from a local animal control. She was evidently in distress and needed an emergency C-section. She was immediately taken to their veterinarian who was able to save three of her puppies. They have all been in foster care in Arkansas until they were old enough to be transported to us this coming week.

Momma was spayed and will be going to her home there, but with so many unwanted puppies in that area, they have asked us to help the babies find loving homes, safe homes with our amazing adopters.

Help us give them the second chance they deserve!

Nikko

Nikko has spent almost half of his life in a shelter in Mississippi since he was found as a stray. He was a staff favorite there, went to lots of adoption events, had a couple of “doggy day outs” and everyone loved him. He knows his basic commands and has excellent manners as feeding time. He is a big boy and his rescue reached out to us hoping we could give him that second chance he deserves and find him a home.

At Wright-Way Rescue, we celebrate the lifesaving work that YOU made possible in 2023 and set our sights on 2024. Thank you for supporting Wright-Way Rescue through your donations, fostering, volunteering and sharing our message.

Pups from Cleveland, Mississippi

These puppies were found abandoned in a rural area near Cleveland, Mississippi.

They had been seeking shelter in a culvert so were very fortunate there had been no recent storms. They were taken to our rescue partner in town who found a local foster home where they got lots of love and attention while they waited for their transport to Wright-Way.

They are currently in our care getting their vaccinations and other medical treatment so they can be ready for their new families.

Maxi's Story

Maxi was rescued by the Morton Grove Police Department during the 2021 holiday season. They brought him to Wright-Way hoping we could find him a home. He was accepted into our adoption program, went to foster, and was soon adopted by a Chicago family. Recently Maxi repaid his owner’s kindness by saving her life.

Maxi's owner noticed him behaving “strangely” in the laundry room. He had knocked over some items and was meowing “more than normal.” She initially brushed it off as him being silly and went about her day. Maxi became increasingly demanding and vocal and refused to leave the laundry room. His owner finally realized that Maxi was trying to draw her attention to a strange smell. She immediately called the gas company. Soon after they arrived, they confirmed a serious gas leak! Maxi and his owner safely evacuated their home while the leak was repaired. Had Maxi not alerted his owner with his “strange” behavior, they very possibly might not have found the leak in time.

At Wright-Way Rescue, we believe that animals make us better people. Thank you for allowing us to bring help and hope to so many. Your donations go straight to work saving the lives of homeless animals who need us most. Thank you for your generosity as we go into the New Year ready to save so many more who are waiting for help to arrive.

Left on the side of a country road

This boy was found alone on the side of a country road outside of Ash Flat, Arkansas. The finder tried to locate an owner, but when no one claimed him, they asked the local rescue to take him in. They were already overcrowded, so they reached out to us for help saving him. Domino is currently available for adoption.

Our team works hard to rescue animals at risk of euthanasia simply because they do not have a home in rural parts of our country. We are so grateful for the role you play in pushing our mission forward. Thank you for supporting Wright-Way Rescue through your donations, fostering, volunteering or sharing our message.
