Darny from Texas

Darny was rescued from the Tyler, Texas area with the help of a WWR Registered Rescue Partner and is now ready for a home! We save homeless dogs and cats from Texas because it is the state that kills more dogs and cats simply because they do not have homes, than any other in our country. Despite this, there are many dedicated partners there working together to accomplish change.

Our foster volunteers allow us to expand our capacity and make room for dogs coming from Texas like Darny. Her foster family recently sent us a glowing report on Darny. “I've been fostering Darny for a week now. She is a sweet, patient, gentle, and friendly pup. We've been working on potty training and she hasn't had an accident in days! She's great with children, shy but gentle around other dogs, loves her belly rubs and does well in her crate. I don't leash her when she's in my backyard but when she is on a leash, she does a great job and does not pull. She's a great listener, so she's very trainable.”

Thanks to our wonderfully dedicated foster network, our rescue partners, and our rescue supporters, we are able to continue our life-saving efforts each and every day to be the change for pets, like Darny.

Kalvin and Kiera

Kalvin and Kiera came to Wright-Way Rescue from Mississippi. Their life had a very rocky start. As young puppies, they were removed from their home by animal control after their former owner could not afford to feed them. The puppies were emaciated and weak. A Wright-Way Rescue Rescue Partner submitted their information to our rescue and shortly after plans were made to pick up the puppies in Mississippi. They spent some time with us getting healthy, were spayed/neutered, and are now ready for the bright future they have ahead of them!

Kalvin and Kiera recently went on a “Doggy Day Out” adventure through our program. You would never know these pups nearly didn’t have such a bright future ahead of them.. Thanks to our supporters, we are able to continue our life-saving mission, and help more puppies everyday like Kalvin and Kiera.

Bianca's Story

Bianca had been adopted in Arkansas by an 86 year old woman who loved her dearly. Unfortunately, she realized that Bianca was too much for her to handle. Wanting nothing but the best for her beloved pet, she worked with one of our Arkansas rescue partners to ensure that this energetic and intelligent young pup made it safely into our adoption program. Bianca is full of life and loves to play. She is also very smart and eager to learn! She would be a great addition to any family.

Wright-Way Rescue’s transport program helps ensure that pets in remote locations of our country still have the opportunity to be rescued and experience a loving home. Thank you for supporting our lifesaving mission and helping dog’s like Bianca have a bright future.

Mario, Macy, and Maddox: Three Lucky Dogs in Search of Their Loving Homes🐾

Mario, Macy and Maddox are three sweet puppies who were abandoned on a dead end gravel road during an Arkansas heat wave. Temperatures were soaring to 110 degrees Fahrenheit, and there was no water or food in sight. The puppies were very lucky to have been spotted by someone who was able to get them rounded up and to safety.

The puppies were taken in by one of Wright-Way Rescue's rescue partners, who cared for them until they could be transported to us. They are now safely in our care, and all three pups are spayed or neutered and ready for their homes. Thank you for all of your support in our life-saving efforts!

10 "Free" Puppies

These 10 puppies came to Wright-Way Rescue from Arkansas. They were being given away for free, which put them at great risk of ending up in a very bad situation.

Luckily, the puppies reached our rescue just in time. Immediately after arriving they required treatment for parvo at Wright-Way's Critical Care Center, one of only three facilities like it in the nation. They are now happy, healthy puppies ready to find their loving homes!

Thanks to our rescue and our donors support, they were saved and are now on the road to recovery and happy families.
