Hate Speech and Symbols Drawn On Her Pup’s Fur…

Last week a photo of a puppy rescued from the Springfield, Missouri area went viral after the puppy was rescued by authorities in truly shocking condition. She was shaved down to her skin and had red swastikas drawn all over her body. She also had the message “Do not feed this (explicit language) dog” written on her. We are seldom at a loss for words but we were when we came across this family's story.

A rescue in Missouri was able to provide care for the puppy, now named Leslie, by removing the markings and then they found her a great, adoptive home. But her mom, Brexley, remained in need. As if she had not been through enough in her short life, it was discovered that she was pregnant again! At this point, the group who had her reached out seeking a rescue that could take Brexley in and provide her with a foster home where she could raise her puppies.

Brexley is headed to a loving, Wright-Way Rescue foster home as we type this!

Please donate to help us provide care for her and all of her expected puppies. Each one will need vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, quality nutrition, and expert medical care prior to adoption. The expenses to take on a pregnant momma dog can quickly add up, but we know that Brexley deserves the chance for a brighter future.

We have promised Brexley that this time around she will raise her puppies surrounded by love and kindness. Together we will break the cycle of neglect and abuse she and her previous puppy endured.
