Ummi & Urban

Ummi and Urban were found at a public park near Oxford, Mississippi.

The finders said there was no momma dog or other puppies around and they were wandering in an open area where they were easily spotted by passersby. They were taken to the local shelter and our rescue partner immediately contacted us to see if we could take them in. These friendly, social puppies are safe with us getting ready for their families.

Your support helps us rescue homeless pets who find themselves in impossible situations throughout our country.

Thank you for supporting Wright-Way Rescue through your donations, fostering, volunteering and sharing our message.

Help Save Susie - An Injured Dachshund In Need!

Dear Wright-Way Rescue Supporters,

We're reaching out today to share the story of a brave little dog named Susie, and ask for your help in giving her the second chance she deserves. Susie, a young dachshund mix, was found in critical condition as a stray in Little Rock, Arkansas. She had a badly injured leg with exposed tissue, muscle, tendon, and bone, along with three punctures to her abdomen. These injuries are consistent with being hit and dragged by a vehicle. Thankfully, the animal shelter in Little Rock provided initial care with antibiotics and pain medication, but her extensive medical needs were beyond their scope. That's where Wright-Way Rescue stepped in!

Upon hearing about Susie's story, we knew we had to help. Initially, amputation of her leg seemed necessary. However, after careful evaluation, our veterinarian is optimistic that we can save it! Susie is currently hospitalized and receiving the lifesaving care she needs. This includes round-the-clock antibiotics, pain medication, bandage changes, and even hydrotherapy. Every day, her prognosis improves! The Wright-Way Rescue medical team is dedicated to Susie's recovery, but the cost of her extensive treatment is high. To give Susie the best shot at a happy life filled with zoomies and tail wags, we need your support.

Here's how you can help: Donate: No amount is too small, and every contribution gets Susie closer to recovery. You can donate securely through our website: https://give-usa.keela.co/WrightWayRescueDonate.

Share Susie's story: Spread the word about Susie by sharing this email with your friends, family, and on social media. Together, we can make a difference for Susie. With your help, she won't just survive; she'll thrive! Thank you for your compassion and generosity.

Sincerely, The Wright-Way Rescue Team

Deer Accident Threatens Rescues - Your Help is Needed

Dear Friend of Wright-Way Rescue, We're reaching out today with urgent news.

Our Wright-Way Rescue Admissions manager was involved in a deer accident outside of Poplar while on the way to rescue over 65 animals from partner shelters in Missouri and Arkansas. Thankfully, our team member is sore but okay. Unfortunately, the accident left our Promaster van significantly damaged. While we believe it's repairable, repairs will take time – time homeless animals waiting for our help simply don't have.

These rescued animals are depending on us! Here's where your support is critical. Renting a similar-sized van far exceeds our standard $75 daily insurance coverage. Additionally, rental companies typically charge mileage fees. These large vans are the backbone of our lifesaving work.

Every week, we travel thousands of miles across rural America, transporting hundreds of homeless animals at risk to the safety of Wright-Way Rescue. With most of these journeys taking place in deer-prone areas, accidents like this are a constant concern. We can't afford to let a single day go by without our reliable rescue vehicles. That's why we're humbly asking for your urgent donation to help us cover rental van fees, including mileage, during this crucial time.

Your generosity will ensure these vulnerable animals receive the care and second chance they deserve. A donation of any amount will make a significant difference. Please donate today: https://give-usa.keela.co/WrightWayRescueDonate.

Thank you for your compassion and kindness. Together, we can continue saving lives!

Sincerely, The Wright-Way Rescue Team

Help Fifty the Pit Bull Get a Second Chance at Life!

Dear Friend Of Wright-Way Rescue,

We're reaching out to you today with a story that needs a happy ending. Fifty, a loving Pit Bull Terrier, has been battling a serious medical condition called a prolapsed rectum. His owner, heartbroken and desperate, took Fifty to a local clinic for surgery, but sadly, the surgery wasn't successful. He went to another clinic for a second surgery, but it too failed. Faced with mounting bills and no other options, Fifty's owner considered a heartbreaking decision – humane euthanasia. Thankfully, Wright-Way Rescue stepped in when we heard the owner's desperate plea posted to social media. We saw a man who loved his dog dearly and had exhausted all his resources to save him.

Today, Fifty has a glimmer of hope. He's at our clinic, receiving the medical care he desperately needs. Our veterinary team is working hard to get to the root of the problem and treat a severe infection that developed from the previous surgeries. But we need your help. Fifty needs additional surgery (a colopexy) to permanently address the prolapse, but this must wait until the infection clears. He also requires ongoing medication and care. Every dollar donated will bring Fifty closer to a full recovery and a joyful reunion with his owner.

You know, they say a rising tide lifts all boats. In this case, by helping Fifty, we're not just saving one dog, we're giving hope to his owner who has shown such unwavering love and dedication. No amount is too small, and together, we can make this happen!

Fifty deserves a second chance, and with your generosity, we can make it a reality. Please share Fifty's story with your friends and family, and let's show him the power of compassion.

Thank you for your kindness, The Wright-Way Rescue Team

Nowhere to Turn, Plenty of Love to Give

Wright-Way Rescue recently journeyed to the heart of rural southern Illinois to answer the call for a cat in desperate need. This remote area lacked animal control, shelters, and any rescue organizations, leaving vulnerable animals with nowhere to turn.

The cat, whom we named Reese, was in a critical state. A large open wound marred her side, and her thin frame spoke volumes about her malnourishment. Without immediate intervention, her survival chances were slim.

We rushed Reese to Wright-Way Rescue's Admissions & Medical Services Campus, where our dedicated team sprang into action. During her initial exam, a surprising discovery came to light – despite her thinness, Reese had a round belly. She was expecting kittens!

Facing a double challenge, our medical team treated Reese's injuries with meticulous care while preparing her for a fast-approaching delivery. Just days after arriving at the shelter, Reese delivered four healthy kittens in the comfort of the hospital setting.

Even while healing from her wounds, Reese has proven to be a phenomenal mother. Her unwavering love and care for her kittens are a testament to her strength and resilience. Now, this beautiful family of five has a bright future filled with hope.

YOU make miracles possible for animals like Reese. Your support fuels Wright-Way Rescue's mission of bringing help and hope to countless homeless animals in need. We can't continue this vital work without your generosity. Donate today and help provide medical care, food, and shelter for animals like Reese and her kittens, and countless others waiting for our help to arrive in time.
