Since it's founding in 2003, Wright-Way Rescue has placed nearly 50,000 homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in loving homes.
4,701 Adoptions in 2019
Last year, our organization did 4,701 adoptions. As a no-kill rescue, pets remain adoptable as long as necessary, and are never euthanized for space reasons.
Critical Care Center
Wright-Way Rescue is one of only a few shelters in the nation with a separate medical facility that is dedicated to saving the lives of pets with highly contagious but treatable medical conditions. Instead of turning away pets with illness, we welcome them and provide quality medical care.
Monthly Numbers
In the month of September, Wright-Way Rescue saved 523 dogs and cats from animal control facilities and owner surrenders.
97% Save Rate
Wright-Way Rescue boasts a save rate of over 97% in 2018. Our adoption rate is consistently 3-4 times above the national average and is one of the highest in the nation.
36,400 Miles a Year
Volunteers travel 700 miles weekly, adding up to 676 hours and over 36,400 miles a year, to safely bring adoptable pets to the Chicagoland area from southern Illinois.
