Wright-Way Rescue will be offering free rabies vaccinations on Sunday, December 10 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the Wright-Way Rescue Veterinary Clinic, located at 5915 Lincoln Avenue in Morton Grove.
Wright-Way Rescue hopes to vaccinate dogs and cats in the community whose owners don't regularly seek or cannot afford annual rabies protection. However, the event is open to anyone whose dog does not have a current rabies vaccination.
The free vaccination will be offered to the first 200 dogs and cats at the event. Pet owners will need to purchase their pet’s rabies tag. Distemper vaccines, for both dogs and cats, can be added on for $15.
Pets brought to the clinic for the vaccination event are required to be either on a leash or in a carrier. Vaccinations are offered upon walk-in only, and pets must be healthy to be vaccinated. Aggressive animals that cannot safely be handled or in the presence of other pets may be refused.
