Thirty Cats Rescued After Owner's Accident
A woman in southern Illinois recently died tragically in a car wreck, leaving behind over 30 beloved cats. Despite the large number of cats in her home, she had stacks and stacks of meticulous medical records and paperwork for the majority of them. Not only that, but she included notes describing each cat’s personality.
Her community had no animal control or rescue organizations to assist with rehoming these cats. Instead, the city was planning to open the doors and let these cats loose to fend for themselves.
It was then that rescues, including Wright-Way Rescue, were asked to step up and rescue these cats. Wright-Way was one of the rescues that offered to help and make a difference in their lives.
Wright-Way Rescue and these cats need your help this evening. We are asking for donations to provide medical care, blood testing to screen for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), daily care for additional animals in the shelter, and transportation.
